Explosive Trailer of ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ Unveiled
Khakee: The Bengal Chapter

The much-anticipated trailer of Khakee: The Bengal Chapter dropped on Wednesday evening, delivering exactly the kind of high-impact thriller fans were expecting. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the series promises a gripping narrative set against the backdrop of Bengal’s political landscape. The trailer alone has left audiences buzzing, signaling that Pandey has hit the mark once again.

The trailer opens with a voiceover explaining the power dynamics in Kolkata—how the police protect the ruling party, and the ruling party, in turn, shields the criminals. Aerial shots of the city set the tone before the text "Kolkata, 2002" appears on the screen. What follows is a massive political rally, where Prosenjit Chatterjee’s character, dressed as a politician, waves to an enthusiastic crowd from the stage.

As the tension builds, a series of brutal murders unfold, revealing a dark world of crime, corruption, and power struggles. The trailer offers glimpses of key characters—Prosenjit as a powerful politician, Saswata Chatterjee as a notorious criminal, and both Parambrata Chatterjee and Jeet portraying police officers caught in the chaos. Jeet’s right-hand man is played by Mimoh, son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty. Another influential political figure is portrayed by Subhashish Mukherjee, while actress Chitrangada Singh also plays a significant role.

The nearly two-minute-long trailer encapsulates Kolkata’s crime-ridden underworld, the murky nexus between politicians, law enforcement, and criminals, and the ensuing power struggles. Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is set to premiere on Netflix on March 20, promising an electrifying thriller that explores the complex web of crime and politics in Bengal.
